Ninth Circuit Rules that Sexual Animus Not Necessary to Support a Sexual Harassment Claim When Bullying Involved

Tuesday, November 1, 2005

The Ninth Circuit held in September that three female employees could make claims against their bosses alleging they had subjected them to harsher bullying than male employees. The Court found there was no reason that abusive bullying of one sex over another should be treated differently than sexual desire, frustration or simply a motive to exclude women from the workplace.
